INVITE: Webinar on Walking the Synodal Path: Reflections on the Synod on Synodality – Voices from Africa
After the recently concluded 16th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, the African Synodality Initiative (ASI) cordially invites you to a Zoom webinar titled ‘Navigating the Synodal Journey: Insights from the Synod on Synodality – African Perspectives.’ This event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. (East Africa Time).
The post-synodal webinar has a twofold purpose: to deliberate on the experiences, discoveries, and takeaways from the 16th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops and to offer an African perspective on the synodal process. This assembly marked a historic milestone as it marked the first instance of full lay participation in the synod of bishops. The webinar serves as a pivotal moment for debriefing and sharing insights within the context of the African Church.
The webinar is thoughtfully tailored for a diverse audience hailing from Africa and beyond, with a shared interest in synodality and a desire to gain insights into the workings of the 16th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops and its pertinence to the Church in Africa.
Attendees include but are not limited to, Bishops, clergy, religious leaders, and laity from the Catholic Church in Africa, as well as scholars, theologians, and researchers intrigued by African ecclesiology and synodality. Additionally, representatives from various Christian denominations across Africa are welcome to join us.
